Getting Started[]

  • Upon spawning into a level you will need to go to the tent and activate the laptop to obtain your objectives. These will be fed directly to your PDA for you to reference while exploring.
  • Choose your gear from your gear table. The gear you choose will depend on your play style, who you are playing with, and your objectives,
    • In single player you will see one backpack outlined in yellow where you can collect your gear.
    • In multiplayer each player will have their own table, and their backpack will be outlined in yellow only for them.
    • You will be able to return to this table at any point as long as the main door is open to obtain more gear.
  • Once you have prepared, locate the tomb entrance and pull the lever with the blue glowing eye to open the tomb and start the round.
    • If you have a Timed Mode on, this is when the timer will begin to count down.

Phase 1 - Sah/Evidence Phase[]

  • The Mejai will periodically manifest as a hooded, tattered-clothed spectre. During this time you will obtain evidence that you can use to identify the specific Mejai you are dealing with.
  • Once you have determined which Mejai you are dealing with you will need to find the Inner Tomb door - it will look like the main entrance door with an Eye of Horus and Eye of Ra symbol on it.
  • On the left side of the door, select the Mejai you have decided on, then on the right side hit the red square button.
    • IF YOU CHOOSE CORRECTLY: The door will open. You may then enter the sarcophagus room, open the sarcophagus, and take the Mejai's relic. At this point the Mejai will spawn and enter phase 2.
    • IF YOU CHOOSE INCORRECTLY: The door to the sarcophagus room will lock, and you will enter phase 2.
    • IF YOU ARE ON TIMED MODE: The door will lock automatically after a pre-set timer has gone off. If the timer ends and you have not opened the door yourself then sarcophagus room door will both lock and you will enter phase 2.

Phase 2 - Khet/Escape Phase[]

  • Once the Mejai has entered hunting phase he will manifest physically and begin tracking you down. Each Mejai will have different methods to evade, so it is suggested you read your PDA "Research" tab prior to opening the tomb door.
  • The main door to the tomb will also close at this time, and you will need to explore the tomb (while evading the Mejai) to find the lever with the blue glowing eye. The lever will be placed somewhere in the tomb at random. Activating this lever will open the main tomb door.
  • Once you have opened the door all parties of your team may exit. If you have the relic, take it to the Jeep to end the round.

Phase 3 - (Optional) Lower Tomb/Banishment Phase[]

  • Once you have correctly identified the Mejai, and found the blue escape lever, you can choose to complete the Banishment Ritual. This is an optional objective for increased gold, experience, and achievements, and is not required to leave the mission successfully.
  • The Banishment Ritual requires items such as the relic, canopic jars, and on certain maps three keys. It is highly suggested that you retrieve these items before guessing the Mejai, as once you guess, the Mejai has manifested physically and can more easily harm you.
  • Finally, you must solve a puzzle to retrieve the last required item, the Ushabti, and taking it down a staircase to the altar. There, you will place the canopic jars, relic, and Ushabti; light the candles; and begin to fight the boss battle.

Tips/Tricks[]

  • In order to level up you will need XP. The highest XP item from the list of objectives is obtaining the relic and exiting safely. It is up to you which objectives you complete, however if you need to decide between recovering the relic and some other objective, the relic will be worth more.
  • In multiplayer - when a player dies they have the chance to either return as a "good" or "bad" mummy or as a living player (if you have the Blessing of Osiris enabled). Each type will have its own pros and cons, however both types of mummies *are* able to interact with levers. So sending your buddy out into the tomb to find a blue-eye lever while you hide is a potential tactic you can use to avoid death in most cases.
